In November 2018, maxillofacial surgeons, radiologists and speech therapists gathered at Al Jalilah Hospital in Dubai, Unites Arab Emirates to explore how to get the most out of speech, swallowing and cleft palate examinations. The participants gained knowledge of a unique documentation method: synchronized audio, video and fluoroscopy, captured through low-dose fluoroscopy acquisitions with the PharyDoc system.

Hosted by Al Jalilah Hospital and Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the two-day training included understanding more about patient benefits of studying the relationship between sound and moving images. Participants also had the opportunity to attend live examinations at Al Jalilah Hospital, where the PharyDoc system is in use. During the training, Mr. Hashim Al-Awadi, Head Radiographer of DHA, also shared his findings and thoughts on dose reduction in fluoroscopy.
